The Biohort SmartBase Foundation is the ideal foundation for concrete or paved areas. It consists of high-quality aluminium boards, a special foundation frame and height-adjustable feet. So light ground irregularities of up to 4 cm can be compensated.

Time of Assembly: 1 - 2 hours for two (depending on workmanship and size)
Tools (not included in the delivery): spirit level, drill, drill bit Ø 10 mm, open-end spanner SW13 and SW24

1. Assembly of the Frame: Fasten corner brackets and lateral bracing on the joists and frames.

2. Attach the Adjustable Feet: Attach the adjustable feet and adapter plates to the frame. Use a spirit level to level the frame assembly.

3. Fasten the Adjustable Feet: Screw the adjustable feet to the surface

4. Laying the Floor: Insert and fix the aluminium floor boards.

Optimal Solution for Slope

Unlike the SmartBase foundation, the patented SmartBase^PLUS system includes ground screws instead of adjustable feet. These are screwed directly into the ground and can compensate slopes of up to 15 cm. For this, the soil should be compact and free of large stones and roots.

Time of Assembly: 2 - 4 hours for two (depending on workmanship and size)
Tools (not included in the delivery): Hammer drill, drill bit ∅ 40 x 600, spirit level, drill, open-end wrench SW13 and SW24, shovel

1. Prepare Assembly Site: Remove earth with a spade to a depth of approx. 10 cm and mark the position of the ground screw holes.

2. Screw in Ground Screws: Pre-drill with a hammer drill and insert the ground screws with the tool provided.

3. Attach the Mounting Plates: Connect the mounting plates onto the ground screws and level with a spirit level.

4., 5., 6. Attach the Frame and Aluminium Floor Panels: Position the frame and joists and fasten them securely with the mounting hardware. Insert and fix the aluminium floor boards.
