They are so much easier to use than piping bags. My hands don't cramp up and I have a lot more control when doing close work. I searched for it but couldn't find it at a decent price so I decided to try this Sweet Creations set instead. I did read that some reviewers had the bottles split open within the first few uses but there were enough positive reviews that I thought I would take a chance. Well, unfortunately, 2 of the 3 small bottles split open at the bottom seam during the first use. The third one looks like it is very close to splitting as well. Too bad because the Betty Crocker version has held up for years. The difference is in the thickness of the bottoms of the bottles and a much more substantial seam. Sad that these did not hold up. Are use mine for pouring deviled eggs filling, and I use also for my sour cream we have a lot of taco night and baked potato night and I just filled it up with the sour cream so my sour cream is not sitting in a small tub with water all the time. At first I thought they would be too bulky in my hand, but once I started decorating, I didn't have any problems at all. I just decorated several dozen sugar cookies and this is way easier and neater for me that using piping bags. The tops are big enough to pour in royal icing and they hold more than I thought. Refilling is easy and much less messy that refilling piping bags. They also give you nice control when doing more detailed piping. I used a small round tip for outlining and a larger round top (my own) for flooding. I just ordered another set, so I can have more colors available when decorating cookies. With smaller amounts of icing, I placed the accordion containers upside down in a cup which kept the icing down in the tip and ready to pipe without a lot of squeezing or waiting for the icing to flow down . Clean up was easy, just soaked for a few minutes in hot soapy water and rinsed. THAT BEING SAID- I think these are great for decorating cookies with ROYAL icing, but will stick with piping bags for buttercream...I think buttercream would be messy to get in to the containers and I don't think the cleanup would be worth it. The package was the original box just cover in some plastic. Half the items were missing and I intended to return the items. However, the flimsy box the items were in was thrown away before i could return it. I tried the bottles today and they did not work.
